The EV200-0007G-T4 is a high-efficiency micro-drive designed for industrial environments utilizing Three-Phase 380V power. Rated for 0.75 kW (1 HP) motors, this model packs advanced vector control technology into an incredibly small 73mm wide chassis.Unlike the single-phase S2 series used in residential settings, the T4 series is engineered for the factory floor. It provides stable, high-torque motor control for small automated machinery found in textile manufacturing, packaging lines, and ceramic processing.

Why Choose This 0.75 kW (1HP) 3-Phase VFD?

  • Space Efficiency: For OEMs building compact machines (like labelers or winders), every millimeter counts. The EV200 fits where other drives won’t.

  • Cost-Effective Multi-Axis Control: Its low cost and small size make it affordable to put a dedicated VFD on every small motor in a production line, rather than using a large, complex central drive system.

  • Reliable in Harsh Environments: The coated PCB and independent air duct make it resilient against the lint, dust, and humidity often found in light industrial manufacturing.

  • Energy Savings: Replacing mechanical speed variators or dampers with this VFD can reduce energy consumption by 20-60% by matching motor speed to the actual load demand.

  • Motor Protection: Offers comprehensive protection against phase loss, overcurrent, and overvoltage, protecting your expensive 380V motors from grid fluctuations and jams.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I use this VFD with single-phase 220V power?

No. The EV200-0007G-T4 requires a Three-Phase 380V input. Connecting it to single-phase 220V will result in an undervoltage fault (FU09) or failure to power up. For single-phase 220V input, please choose the EV200-0007G-S2.

2. Does this model have a braking unit for a braking resistor?

No. The 0.75kW to 2.2kW models in the EV200 series do not have a built-in braking unit. You cannot connect an external braking resistor. If your application requires very fast stopping (high inertia), consider using the DC Injection Braking function (Parameters P6-10 to P6-14) or oversizing the drive.

3. How do I set the VFD for a fan application?

For fans, you generally want Variable Torque (V/F) control. Set P0-01 = 2 (V/F Control). You may also want to enable “Catching a Spinning Motor” (P6-00 = 1) if the fan might be windmilling when the drive starts.

4. Can I install these drives touching each other?

Yes. The EV200 series supports side-by-side installation. The independent vertical air duct design allows heat to escape from the top without heating the adjacent unit, permitting zero clearance installation horizontally to save cabinet space.

Quick Start Guide (How-To)

Warning: Ensure the 380V power supply is disconnected before wiring.

Step 1: Mechanical Installation

Mount the VFD on a DIN rail or backplate inside your control cabinet. Ensure the vertical airflow path is not blocked (leave 100mm clearance top/bottom).

Step 2: Wiring

  • Input: Connect Three-Phase 380V power to terminals R, S, T.

  • Output: Connect the 0.75kW motor to terminals U, V, W.

  • Ground: Connect the Earth Ground to the PE terminal.

Step 3: Parameter Setup

Power on the VFD. Enter the programming menu (PRG) and set the motor parameters (P1 Group) to match your motor nameplate:

  • P1-01: 0.75 (Rated Power)

  • P1-02: 380 (Rated Voltage)

  • P1-03: 2.1 (Rated Current – check motor plate!)

  • P1-04: 50.00 or 60.00 (Hz)

  • P1-05: Motor RPM (e.g., 1440)

Step 4: Auto-Tuning

To optimise vector control:

  • Set P0-01 = 0 (SVC).

  • Set P1-37 = 1 (Static Auto-tuning) or 2 (Rotary, if motor is uncoupled).

  • Press RUN.

Step 5: Operation

  • Set P0-02 = 0 for Keypad Control or 1 for Terminal Control (External Switch).

  • Use the potentiometer or Up/Down keys to set the frequency and press RUN to start the motor.

Core Features & Advantages

  • Micro-Compact Design (73mm Width): The ultra-slim book-style design saves up to 45% of cabinet space compared to traditional drives. It supports side-by-side mounting, enabling engineers to pack more axes into smaller enclosures for multi-motor machines.

  • Industrial 3-Phase 380V Input: Designed specifically for 3-phase industrial power grids (380V-440V), offering balanced power draw and superior efficiency compared to single-phase converters.

  • Sensorless Vector Control (SVC): Despite its small size, it features sophisticated SVC algorithms (P0-01=0) delivering 150% starting torque at 0.5Hz. This ensures a reliable startup for high-friction loads like loaded conveyors or sticky material mixers.

  • Independent Air Duct Cooling: The vertical straight-through air duct isolates cooling air from the PCB, preventing conductive dust (common in textile and ceramic plants) from causing short circuits, significantly extending service life.

  • Streamlined I/O for Automation: Equipped with 4 Digital Inputs, 1 Analogue Input, and 1 Relay Output. This optimised configuration connects easily to PLCs and sensors for start/stop logic, speed reference, and fault monitoring.

  • Process Control Functions: Includes a built-in PID Controller for maintaining constant pressure or flow in small pump systems, and a Simple PLC for executing automated timing cycles without external logic controllers.
