1. Can I use this VFD to run a 3HP 3-phase motor at home?

Yes, the EV200-0022G-S2 is designed specifically to convert single-phase 220V (household power) to three-phase 220V. Important: You must ensure your motor is wired for 220V (often “Delta/Δ” connection for dual-voltage motors) and that your electrical circuit can handle the 23A input current (a 30A or 32A breaker is recommended).

2. Does this model support an external braking resistor?

No. The 2.2kW model in the EV200 series does not have a built-in braking chopper unit, so you cannot connect a braking resistor directly. For applications requiring quick stops (like a lathe or grinder), you should enable DC Injection Braking (Parameters P6-10 to P6-14) or increase the deceleration time to prevent over-voltage faults.

3. How does the “Narrow Body” design benefit me?

The 85.5mm width allows for side-by-side installation. If you are building a control panel for a machine with multiple motors, you can stack these drives directly next to each other without leaving air gaps between them (thanks to the independent vertical air ducts). 4. What is the difference between EV200 and EV510A?

Choose EV200 for space-constrained, single-motor applications; choose EV510A for complex system integration.

Step 1: Wiring

  • Entrada: Connect your Single Phase 220V Line and Neutral to terminals L1 and L2 (or R and S).

  • Saída: Connect your 3HP Motor wires to U, V, and W.

  • Solo: Ligue a ligação à terra ao terminal PE.

Step 2: Keypad Control Setup

  • Power on the VFD.

  • Set P0-02 = 0 (Operation Panel Command Channel) to start/stop via the green RUN button.

Step 5: Terminal Control (Optional)

  • Wire a switch between S1 and GND (or COM).

  • Wire a potentiometer to +10V, AI1, GND.
